RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has reiterated the Kingdom’s firm rejection of any attempt to divide Somalia or undermine its sovereignty, reaffirming its support for the country’s unity and territorial integrity.

In a statement issued following the Cabinet’s weekly session on Tuesday, Riyadh stressed that it opposes the imposition of parallel or alternative entities that contradict Somalia’s unity or infringe on its sovereign authority.

The Cabinet also expressed Saudi Arabia’s full backing for the outcomes of the extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states on the situation in Somalia, which was hosted in Jeddah.

The meeting focused on preserving Somalia’s sovereignty, supporting its federal institutions, and reinforcing international coordination on Somali affairs.

Saudi Arabia emphasized that its position is rooted in respect for Somalia’s independence and long-standing commitment to the stability of the Horn of Africa, reaffirming continued diplomatic engagement through regional and Islamic multilateral frameworks.
