GAROWE, Puntland – A tragic shooting incident occurred in Garowe, the capital of Puntland, on Wednesday, when a hotel security guard fatally shot an 18-year-old car cleaner, identified as Mustaf Manuur.
The victim, originally from Somalia’s South West State, was reportedly shot following a dispute over where he was washing a vehicle near the hotel premises.
According to eyewitness accounts, an argument broke out between the security guard and Manuur regarding the designated area for car cleaning.
The disagreement escalated, leading the guard to open fire, fatally wounding the young man. Local authorities confirmed that the security guard has been taken into custody, and an investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
